How to Close Apps on iPhone X in iOS 12

How to Close Apps on iPhone X in iOS 12

Perhaps Apple paid attention to user feedback which is why it has made it easier to close apps on the iPhone X in iOS 12. The company has reverted back to the same process of closing apps as on the iPhone 8, iPhone 7, and other iPhones featuring Touch ID.

Step 1: Swipe Up and Hold

Bring up the App Switcher by swiping up from the bottom of the screen, holding your finger on the display for a split second and then removing it.

Step 2: Swipe Up, Again!

Now, simply swipe up on the card of any app to close it.

Should You Really Close Apps on your iPhone?

This is a debate has been going on for years and it will continue to happen. Apple says that you should not close apps on your iPhone X since they will end up taking more resources when you launch them again. On the other hand, I have noticed that removing apps that I sparingly use from the App Switcher has helped improve the multitasking performance on my iPad. But then again, that’s just my experience.
Do you regularly close apps on your iPhone? If yes, have you noticed any negative or positive impact from it?
If you accidentally deleted or lost videos on iPhone, first please check on the Recently Deleted folder. Alternatively, you can use the professional tool Gihosoft iPhone Data Recovery to recover deleted iPhone videos from Camera Roll or some apps.
