2 Make Sure Lightning Cable & USB Port Are Good
2.1. Check Lightning Cable
Any hindrance in a stable connection between the computer and the device may result with iTunes won't recognize iPhone. One cause of it could be the lightning cable. Double-check if the lightning cable you are using is of high quality or not, cables with low quality can work for charging but not for connecting to computer or syncing data. When buying a cable from store or if already bought, check if "Made for iPhone" (MFi) logo is there on the box or not – if it's there your cable is MFi certified and is of high quality.
2.2. Check USB Port
To maintain a stable connection, USB port plays an equal role as that of cable. Since, USB ports are not invincible they too can wear out. - Go to "Reset".

5If iTunes Doesn't See iPhone on a Mac
When iPhone won't connect to iTunes, inspect that your Mac is able to recognize it or not.

They are, "Update Driver Software", "Disable" and "Uninstall". If you find "Enable" instead of "Disable", click on it and check the problem is fixed.
Uninstall the Driver
